WELFARE REFORM

Our Governor, Paul LePage, knows better than any Maine leader the problems associated with welfare.  We need to set limits and move people from reliance to self-sufficiency.  The Maine people are known for being compassionate and neighborly.  However, the people of Maine have also had a tradition of self-reliance. To move Maine forward we need to focus on all of the people of Maine who have had to shoulder the tax burden for a system that is broken.

We fully support Governor LePage’s efforts to reform welfare.   The Augusta special interests have had it their way – it is time for a new way.  It is time to put Maine People Before Politics.
